About us

At Courage Health Care, we believe that developing and maintaining your independence and well-being is fundamental to your care and support.

We also believe that the technical skills of our support workers are as important as their commitment and enthusiasm for the job.

So that we can deliver the highest quality home care, our support workers receive comprehensive training both when they first join us and regularly thereafter. This includes additional specialist training in meeting specific support needs.

All our staff are fully supervised and monitored and are appraised annually, to ensure that you receive the best care support possible.

This package of training and development means that our staff are knowledgeable, experienced and comfortable in meeting the varying needs of our customers sensitively and professionally.

We strive to ensure that we match each customer with the Support worker or team of support workers that best suits them, making the best use of individual support workers’ skills. Once a good fit is achieved, we endeavour to keep the support workers with you for as long as you are happy with them.

We know that sometimes your needs may change with time. Where this happens, work with you and your support worker to adapt and develop your support to meet your changing requirements.

Courage Health Care’s local office is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent body that regulates care provided in England by the NHS, local authorities, private companies and by voluntary organisations.

The CQC carries out regular and rigorous inspections of care providers and the outcomes of its inspections are shaped by priorities that include:

  • making sure that care is centred on people’s needs
  • making sure that their care protects people’s rights
  • acting swiftly to eliminate poor quality care
  • promoting high-quality care.
